Ashley Nicole Kirkwood, aka "the lit lawyer" was recently named to Crain's Chicago Business "20 in their 20s." She gives her keynote speech, "The Currency of Confidence" at colleges and conferences around the world.

Ashley always knew she wanted to be a lawyer, but quickly decided to pivot from her traditional corporate legal career. But it wasn't until 2018 that she jumped head first into entrepreneurship walking away from her firm salary of $280,000 to be a full-time entrepreneur. She now runs her law firm, Mobile General Counsel and her speaking business, Speak Your Way To Cash, where she trains other speakers how to become paid speakers that solve problems for their corporate and collegiate clients. She also hosts a podcast, an event series, and a Facebook group, all entitled, Speak Your Way To Cash. 

Ashley has spoken to audiences with more than 4,000 people in attendance, but that's not her proudest professional accomplishment. In 2017, Ashley Kirkwood and her rock star husband, Chris, launched The Kirkwood Foundation, which focuses on increasing the number of minorities in STEM, legal, and medical careers. 

After graduating with honors from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, Ashley wrote a book about how to get outstanding grades, land a lucrative legal job, and get outside scholarship checks!
